Marthe D.

Marthe is absolutely fantastic! She has taken care of my now 2-year-old daughter since March 2018, when my daughter was 3 months old. I am a very busy medical resident at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital with little free time. Marthe does everything to make my life easier. She is very flexible with her hours, arriving as early as I need her, and staying as late as I need her. At my request, she occasionally sleeps over when I have evening call shifts. She is punctual and extremely reliable. She is very helpful around the apartment. She cleans regularly, picks up groceries, and prepare all of my daughter's meals. She offered to cook for me too. The food is delicious! She takes my daughter out to the park everyday (rain or shine) and to activities in the area or a short train ride away, including events at the local New York Public Library and classes at the JCC in Harlem. She is bilingual and, at my request, speaks to my daughter in French. My daughter is now bilingual too! Most importantly, Marthe absolutely loves my daughter, and pours all of her energy and affection into their interactions every day. She taught my daughter how to dress herself, feed herself, and use the toilet. They play, laugh, and dance together all the time. I am about to graduate from my 4-year training program in June, and will move across the country to take a job in California. If I could, I would take Marthe with me too. She is an outstanding caretaker and an all around wonderful person. You would be absolutely blessed to have this woman in your life and in the lives of your children.
