Hello! My name is Lily Filippatos and I'm 28 years old. I graduated from UMass Amherst with a BA in Theater and Minor in French in 2017. I live in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and I’m an actor, writer, singer, and dancer. I love caring for children, especially engaging in artistic activities with them and helping them to explore and express their creativity. I grew up in NYC and attended Hunter College High School. I am a fun, loving, responsible, creative, flexible person who absolutely loves caring for kids. I babysat my neighbors--two boys ages 7 and 9--for five years and also have experience sitting for infants: I babysat for a baby boy from when he was 6 months to 3-years-old, and during my freshman year of college I babysat for two 9-month-old twin girls twice a week.  I was a camp counselor at a sleep-away camp called Hidden Valley Camp for Read more two years for girls ages 6-10, and a counselor for one summer at Camp Integrity for girls ages 8-10. I was also a teaching assistant for a dance class for girls ages 3-8 at the 92nd Street Y for three years. I love acting, directing, singing, dancing, chess, reading, piano and writing, and I am proficient in speaking French. I will certainly be able to tutor and help with homework--I had experience as a peer tutor at my high school. I have a cat and I love all animals. I am a very caring, empathetic person, always putting myself in other people's shoes in order to understand others' feelings and help solve problems, which is especially useful when caring for a child. I always have a smile on my face and am a silly, playful and energetic person at heart. I strive to create a fun, happy environment while also making sure everything is safe and responsible. I would love to help take care of your child or children, and I hope you will consider me.
