Hey there! My name is Makida Cartwright. I am a college student, currently taking a semester off, which means my schedule is extremely flexible. I spent most of my life living in the state of Virginia. My experience as a babysitter/nanny started about 4 years ago. Previously, I have worked for friends, family members, friends of family members and neighbors. I became very fond of children when I was a part of the youth ministry at my hometown church. This was a time where I was able to bond with kids by reading them stories, helping them with arts and craft activities, teaching them basic skills, and simply having fun! It was definitely a rewarding experience and has furthered my interest to work with kids in some way. The most children I have taken care at time were 2, and all children that I have taken care of were between Read more the ages of 2 to 6 years old. In the past as a nanny I was responsible for cooking and cleaning for the children, escorting the children from school back home, or to after school activities. I was also able to assist the kids with their homework in subjects such as Math and English. Overall my objective is to assure that your child feels safe and comfortable with me while you, the parent are working etc. I want to help maintain a healthy, balanced, happy environment for your children. Of course you, the parent are just as important, so I always do my best to meet your expectations. I want to be able to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, not just for your children, but for the family as a whole.
