Hi, my name is Ashley Okiomah. I am a responsible, trustworthy, and extremely friendly person. I'm a southern girl, originally from Austin, Texas. I recently moved to New York (specifically Brooklyn), to attend Borough of Manhattan Community College for the Spring semester. This is where I'll be completing my prerequisites so that I can transfer to NYU, to complete my Bachelors in Marketing and Minor in French. I've been babysitting since the age of seventeen, taking care of children ages ranging from 10 months old-13 years old. As well as I've had experience helping to care for a 16 month old little girl, that came to live with my family for almost one year. I also have nearly two years of experience working at a children's hospital. Where I had the opportunity to care for and interact with children ranging in ages on a daily basis. And I was also Read more a student camp counselor a few years ago at my church, whenever they had camps, like Vacation Bible School (VBS) or summer camps. I feel like I'm good at what I do because I am a creative person. Children are constantly learning, and enjoy being engaged in fun activities, no matter how old they are. This seems to come naturally to me. I'm also able to adjust to quick changes (as you have to be when interacting with children). Kids mean a lot to me because I love that they are always so full of life, and eager to learn something new. I also used to be very active in sports. I've played basketball, soccer, volleyball, ran track, and briefly ice skated.
