From 2011 to 2014, I was responsible for the daily care of three very active children who are now all in school (ages 5, 9 and 11). Duties included feeding, cooking, laundry, maintaining the household, caring for the youngest full-time, and picking up the two oldest children from school each day. I handled ordering groceries from Fresh Direct, arranged play dates, took children to the park, school activities, social events, birthday parties, and doctor appointments. I also taught the youngest how to read and write and assisted the older children with their homework. I worked late, depending on the parent’s work schedule, and duties required that I spend a month in Vermont each summer. Additionally, I watched the children overnight when parents went away on business or vacation. From 1992 to 2011, I worked full-time for a family with two children.
