I offer attentive, loving, and responsive care, while also supporting and developing the child's own sense of accomplishment and responsibility. I am an engaged and compassionate caregiver who develops relationships with the kids I care for based on mutual respect, while maintaining my role as their guardian. I love reading to kids of all ages (and I love it when kids read to me)! Storytelling, imaginative play, crafts, and time outside whenever the weather permits are also important sources of fun. For school age kids I place a strong emphasis on homework, while allowing plenty of time for fun. I have a strong intellectual interest in development and in childhood. The changes that can happen from one month to the next for an infant can feel magical, and the changes that take place over the course of a season or a school year for a kid can be transformative. I Read more am looking for a family that needs 2 or 3 full days of care a week. Ideally, you would benefit from working with a caregiver who combines flexibility and reliability. I am able to have times and days that vary from week to week, allowing my schedule to shift with your needs, ideal if you work from home, freelance, or have other project based work. And once a time is confirmed on my calendar, you can be certain that I will be there!
