I am genuinely interested in working with children. I have experience working with children in a school setting with IEP, and ones that are on the autism spectrum. I am currently a Teachers Assistant at Block Institute. They provide Special education for children with special needs. I carry out ABA techniques on a daily basis, and continue to find other techniques that work for the benefit of the students. I work with ages three through nine; potty trained and not potty trained. In the past I've worked with children in a daycare setting; ages 6months-12 years of age. I've assisted and sometimes led on class trips, bathroom duties, preparing, and serving meals, art, english and math activities, and prepare lesson plans. I have personal experience in child care with children in my family. I have helped caring for a child newborn age and onward. I am enrolled in a four Read more year College and am pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Human Services. I have have taken several classes that can benefit me in this field and plan on continuing taking classes that will further contribute to my skills. I've taken courses/semesters that taught me Child Psychology, Psychology, Temperament, Counseling skills and techniques, and much more. Upon obtaining my Level I Teachers Assistant CertificateI’ve completed three seminars; School Violence Prevention and Intervention, Child Abuse and Reporting, and a DASA seminar. Im also certified to administer first aid to adult and children. My experience has taught me patience, cleanliness, organization, and how to multitask.
