Hello, family! My name is Kira and I'm a 24-year-old student who just moved to Brooklyn. I'm hoping to find a part-time or full-time nanny/sitting position with a suitable family. I am a firm believer in teaching and leading by example by showing patience, kindness, humor and respect for children. It is my childcare practice to create a safe, healthy structure that provides plenty of time for play, learning, and fun. My childcare experience includes nannying for an awesome family of three boys ages 6 months-6 years for three years. The family accepted me as a part of their family and it was a joy to see them learn and grow! I spent two summers as a camp counselor at a summer camp in California teaching dance, yoga, and arts & crafts. In 2011, I volunteered for 6 weeks in Calcutta, India at a home for mentally disabled children. Every Read more position I've held working with children has been a wonderful experience! I've completed The Red Cross Advanced Child Care Training program and I am Pediatric/Infant CPR & First Aid certified. I'm happy to provide references upon request.
