Meet Rachel

I have been in childcare for over 7 years now spending a lot of that time with families long term both live in and live out. I have with a wide range of ages starting from newborn to pre-teen years. Although I have many years of experience with older children, I have worked with newborn- 5 years of age for the past 5 years full time. With my interest and schooling for being a nurse, I have found that younger children challenge me in a way that I love. Each child takes a level of patience and awareness that keeps hyper focused and ready for anything that may come my way. My style of childcare does incorporate discipline the way that the parents and I seem fit as a team. I have worked with multiples (twins), children with mild to severe disabilities, as well as children with severe food allergies and am prepared and comfortable working with children’s of special needs. Unfortunately, I do not speak any other languages and am CPR certified. Some things about me would be that I love to have fun, playing outside and doing activities as frequently as possible is my goal whether that is a crafting activity or a puzzle or reading a book. I am currently studying to become a nurse in the future and just have an overall love for caring for people which is why I love childcare as much as I do.
