I have many years experience working with and spending time with children, in both a one-on-one babysitting setting and in a group teaching/creative setting. I assistant taught music, drama and art to children ages 3-10 as part of the Sweet Soul Summer Arts Workshop in the East Village last summer, and I have worked as a reading tutor with preschoolers ages 2-5 through the AmeriCorps Jumpstart Reading Program. I absolutely love working with children and actively engaging with them in creative and intellectually/artistically stimulating ways. I am a nurturer at heart and it is my aim in every childcare situation to provide encouragement and understanding and to be a comfort and support.
