I am a retired FIrst Grade Teacher of 20 years in Cupertino, CA. I retired last year and moved from CA back to NY where I was born and raised in Avon. I now reside in Canandaigua. Before getting my Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and my California Teaching Credential, I was a nanny for 3 different families over a period of 7 years. They were in age range from infants through 10 years old. I also worked at the YMCA after school center in my school district in Cupertino, CA. I was a tutor with Sylvan Learning Center for 2 years in the evenings. I taught summer school for 5 summers from 1996-2001 for 7-9 year olds. I was a pre-Kindergarten teacher in a Montessori School for 2 years before going to graduate school to receive my teaching credential.
