I'm Carla. I'm 25 and newly married! I have 7 professional years of experience, but have always been involved with children since I can remember! I graduated from The Florida State University in 2012 with a BS in Family & Child Sciences (concentration in early childhood development) and a minor is Psychology. While in college, I joined a club promoting Autism Awareness and the experience really touched my heart. Being aware of Autism & working with kids on the spectrum has really taught me a lot in my career and how diverse each child is. I love working with children and watching them grow with any challenge they may have. During my years of experience, I also had the opportunity to work with children with Down Syndrome. I nannied for three different families who I still stay in contact with today! The children ranged from 0-5. I had a lot of experience dropping off/picking up from pre-school, prepping meals, cooking, bath time, cleaning, laundry, art n crafts, and lots and lots of indoor/outdoor playtime! During my last two years of college, I was offered an Assistant Teacher's job at a private pre-school for my internship. My job curriculum required managing and executing weekly lesson plans! I have been CPR & First Aid certified! I received my background & fingerprints check through the state of NY. I am a sincere and responsible person. I have plenty of recommendations and would love to be apart of your family! I currently nanny 2 1/2 year old twins (boy/girl). They will be starting full-time at a Waldorf school this fall. It's bittersweet for me, but I'm happy to see them growing into beautiful children. I will miss them, but it is time for me to care for new children and build new lifetime relationships.
