I am a mother of 5 amazing children; 2 biological and 3 step children. In my younger years I did a lot if babysitting for family friends. While supporting myself through college, I worked in a daycare. I was able to obtain my BA degree in sociology and psychology. My focus was child and family work. Over the years I've been a cheerleading coach for ages 5 through 17. For the past 10 years I've worked as a child protective caseworker for my local social services department. I love working with children and families to come up with solutions to help make their homes run more smoothly. I am very creative and love doing crafts, being outside, reading, learning, enjoying life, and having fun! I am looking to pursue my masters degree but still need to provide for my family. I would like to change careers in order to support Read more my dream of obtaining my masters in sociology. I feel babysitting would help provide the opportunity for this to happen. My current employment is very demanding and very time consuming. It is very difficult to go back to college because I'm usually working at least 55 hours a week, not to mention the nights and weekends I'm required to do. I've been finger printed by NYS for my current employment as well as through the NYS teachers association. I also have clearances through the NYS child abuse and maltreatment registry. I have a clean driving record and reliable, registered, and insured vehicle. I love children and their excitement for life.
