I am a 25-year-old energetic and friendly NYS certified teacher who has possessed a lifelong aspiration to become a nanny. I have taught in the NYC Department of Education for the past three years as an elementary school teacher. I graduated from St. Joseph's College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education, along with a minor in Speech Communication. In 2014, I graduated St. Joseph's College again with a Master of Arts in Literacy and Cognition. I am currently a certified literacy specialist and have taught in the Department of Education for the past three years. Prior to working in the DOE, I was a teacher’s assistant in a Universal Preschool and Nursery program at The Little Dolphin School in Queens. My duties here included directing the afterschool and summer day camp programs, planning lessons and engaging activities for the children, planning meal and Read more nap schedules, fostering social connections between the children, and ensuring the children were safe at all times. I have babysat children of all ages from infants to 13-years-old, for the past ten years. I enjoy being an active caretaker and creating meaningful, engaging, hands-on, and educational activities for children. I am a firm believer in limiting the amount of television we expose children to and I prefer to provide them with outdoor activities and meaningful educational experiences and activities. I love not only working with children but educating them and caring for the “whole child”. I also enjoy teaching children life skills and manners, which are especially important in today’s society. I look forward to working with your child!
