My name is Ticiana Ribeiro. I am originally from Brazil, and I have lived in New York for the past eighteen years, working as a childcare provider for the last seventeen years. I have studied Child Development at the CUNY School of Professional Studies and during my time there, I worked as Assistant Preschool Teacher at the Park West Montessori School. I am passionate about Child Development and frequently read books and articles in this field to stay up to date. I am fluent in Portuguese, and can also communicate in Spanish. Cooking is another one of my passions, and I have used it as a way to help children become adventurous eaters while developing healthy eating habits. I have experience with children with autism and developmental delays as well. With these children, I have used positive guidance to assist them and help them improve. I am a self-starter and a team player who will respect the parents’ choices regarding their children. While I love pets, I do have mild allergies and prefer to work in a home with hypoallergenic dogs. I am a permanent resident so I am able to travel domestically as well as internationally. I am also available to work the occasional weekend or overnight if needed. I love being a childcare provider and I am excited to find a nanny position where I can use my care-giving experience and Early Childhood Education background!
