I have been a dedicated child caregiver for twenty years who has worked with all ages in various roles, e.g., camp counselor, after school program mentor and preschool assistant. My love of working with children started one summer when I was a counselor. Watching and participating in a child's fun day at camp was the highlight of my day. While, these jobs were all very rewarding I now like to devote my time and experience on a more personal one on one level. Developing a child's mind and abilities through age appropriate activities is always interesting and beneficial. Activities I enjoy sharing with children are my love of reading, creating art and fun play. Recently, I was a nanny/babysitter for a lovely family on the Upper West Side. some of my responsibilities were taking the child on walks, reading , bringing to special activities and light cleaning. Sherri was so kind to text and email us before our booking to let us know she was looking forward to meeting our family. Highly recommend Sherri! She had a warmth about her that you could feel immediately when she entered our home. I had no hesitation about asking her to put our daughter to bed after talking her through our bedtime routine. Our daughter instantly took a liking to her as well.
