I am a mature, responsible, highly educated, married woman with a 20 year old daughter studying psychology at Durham University, England. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Rochester, Eastman School of Music, and have done partial graduate work in Performance & Education at the same university. I am a native New Yorker and I live on the Upper West Side. I have lived in Paris, France and Florence, Italy, and have traveled extensively. I have taught children of all ages in Paris, France. I principally regard myself as an educator, and like Mary Poppins all done with joy and a sense of fun! I have taken educational and child developmental psychology as part of my degree in education. Being a mother myself, I understand the workings of a household with children. I seek to be a helpful and supportive presence. I love to read, to sing with them and teach them songs and poems. When I have taught, with children as young as 5, we have sung in several languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese. I love doing arts and crafts and trips to museums, parks and other activities. I am a good cook and I love to bake - my specialty is Italian and I have been told that I make a great Italian Cheescake and Banana Cake. I am respectful, courteous, reliable, trustworthy and cheerful. I am happy to do light house work, cooking, help with homework and accompany children to and from school and their scheduled activities. I would prefer a full time, living out position.
