I have experience working with children from pre-k to sixth grade in a wide range of settings including camp, after-school, and in the classroom. As a 2011 graduate of The College of St. Rose, I have a degree of Bachelor of Arts focused in Early Childhood Studies with a minor in Sociology. I also have my certification in Early Childhood from SUNY Adirondack Community College. I have been employed by the Jewish Community Center in Albany, NY for the past five years. For two years of my employment, I worked as head teacher in the pre-school program and prior to that as assistant teacher. Currently, I am the director of the after school program which provides services for children from kindergarten ages through sixth grade. This experience has helped me to gain the valuable skills necessary for successful classroom teaching, including classroom management, development of lesson plans, interaction with educational Read more staff and other professionals and communication with parents. I have been accepted in the graduate school at Hunter College where I will study on a part time basis for my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Because of that I am re-locating to the City and seeking employment in my field.
