Hello! My name is Ana Dias, I am twenty eight years old and I have a great experience with kids of all ages. Children have always been my passion and that was the reason who drove me to Education school. I have a bachelor's degree in Portuguese and English Language and Literature Education and I am currently pursuing my masters' degree in Early Childhood Education at City College. Originally from Brazil, I have worked there as a volunteer in a public school on the weekends and as a Portuguese teacher in a private school for 3 years. In 2009, I worked in a daycare, taking care of 2 month - 3 year old kids. On Sep 2009, I came to the USA as an au pair. I lived in Maryland and I took care of two girls, 2 and 5 years old. My responsibilities as an au pair were: laundry, Read more prepare the meals, give baths, clean their bedrooms/bathroom, keep their things organized, clean after meals, prepare activities and drive them. I usually took them to the library story time and we loved it! There, we read lots of books, played with other kids and had fun! At home, I was always preparing activities like painting, crafts, and games. My second year as an AP (2010 - 2011) was in Vernon, New Jersey, and I took care of a 2-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl. I was responsible for driving them to their classes, help with homework, prepare activities, clean bedrooms/bathroom and cook. I need to say that I was a very good au pair. I really cared about my family and I never had problems with them. I really respect their rules and I think it s the most important thing to make the things work for both sides. In the end of the Au pair program, I went back to my country and I was working as an English teacher. I returned to the USA in 2013 and since then, I have been working as a sitter in Manhattan. I am pretty comfortable travelling on the train with children, organizing playdates and helping with homework. I am currently available to work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and some weekends.
