I have four years experience as a mother's helper for a very busy family where I entertained and babysat the kids. They had 18-month-old twins and a 4-year-old. My responsibilities included playing with the kids outdoors, cleaning the kitchen and bedrooms and assisting with the bedtime routine. Then I started working for a family with an autistic 8-year-old boy and his three younger siblings in the afternoon. I would often take the oldest child on outings to restaurants, malls, and parks. I also cleaned, ran errands, entertained the other kids and assisted with bedtime routine. I also worked in a school for children with learning disabilities. I taught them math, reading , spelling, and other subjects. On weekends, I worked in a group home for children with medical issues ages three months to 10 years. Then I was a nanny for two years for children ages 2-8 years old. I Read more fed , dressed, bathed and entertained the kids and also did household chores such as dishes , laundry etc. I then joined a volunteering program in Israel that focuses on social change in marginalized communities. We teach kids in schools, after school programs and in their home to read write and speak English . I also volunteered in programs for youth at risk . We also travel around the country to meet activists in other communities to learn about their social change initiatives. I recently got hired as a full time live in nanny , so I am currently only available for one time or infrequent jobs late evenings or weekends during the day.
