Hello, my name is Nicki. I am 20 years old with a strong passion of working and caring for children. Right out of high school I started working for the school I graduated from in a k-2 option room with special needs children. This is when I discovered my true talent of working with children. From there I became a full time nanny. I have now discovered that I intend to become a preschool teacher. While going to school I would still like to work doing what i love..... Helping families and taking care of their children. In my previous nanny job I got the kids ready each morning eating breakfast, getting dressed, teeth brushed etc. I drove them anyplace they needed to go. Prepared their meals, short lesson plans each day, library once a week, crafts once a week and fun day Friday's!! If you have a child who Read more is ready for preschool but don't wanna pay a caregiver and school you're just in luck because working with kids that age is my specialty. With the 3 year old I nannied I was able to teach her how to write her name, learn and write her ABCs and 123s, learn sounds, shapes, colors and using sign language to sign her ABCs..... This was all learned in as little as two months. I was also able to get her to ditch the Binky in one day after her parents had been trying for months. I also have CPR and First Aid training. While I'm very good with ages 3-5, I'm also good with babies. I come from a big family where I've been surrounded with children my whole life, I started babysitting when i was 12 years old.
