I have worked with children since I was 12 years old, and I have cared for children as young as six weeks old. After relocating to the United States, I continued working as a nanny, with many families in Westchester County-New York, in the Bronx-New York (full-time and part-time positions). Because of my interest in child development I decided to further my education in that field. I received my teacher’s certificate, from The State University of New York at Purchase College in 1993. After graduating I became a registered childcare provider and opened my own child care program. I continued my education in early childhood training program and in family day care projects. I graduated from the Westchester Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood in 2003 and got my Bachelor’s Degree in Arts in 2006 from the school of New Resources at the College of New Rochelle. Read more I have been taking additional classes, throughout the years, gaining new information pertaining to early childhood and child care development. Skills: Registered child care provider for the past 20 years; Organization, reading, playing, meal preparing, field trips, outdoor and indoor play. Multitasking: a key trait when dealing with multiple children. Time Management: I have mastered this skill, which is especially beneficial when giving each child individual attention. Parent and Child Interaction. Cheerful and easy going personality with the ability to follow the family’s instructions. Love for children: I enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. Creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I provide safety, affection, and demonstrate the ability to provide proper direction for a daily routine. Dependability: I am dependable, compassionate, caring, energetic and honest and I maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Completed CPR and First Aid training as a nanny Clean New York State driver’s license. Good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny. Experiences: Having 3 children of my own Full time Nanny with two families for 5 years each (when the child was 5 months old until 5 years of age) Owner of family child care head start program for 20 years as a registered Family Child Care Provider
