I am a graduate of Fairfield University with a Bachelors Degree of Arts in communication and psychology. I have worked as a teacher at Tutor Time Child Care located in Connecticut for over 7 years. My tasks included planning and implementing age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that met the physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of the young children, as well as encouraging the children's development in areas of self-confidence and problem solving. I worked with a range of children from six weeks to twelve years old. Under state regulation, the ratio of teacher to child was 1:4 for children under three years old, and 1:10 for children 4+, so I am very comfortable with multiple children at once. I mostly worked with infants to up to four years old. I love babies and enjoy getting down on the ground for playtime. I believe that positive communication is important, Read more especially at this age, so I am focused on the different types of interaction implemented throughout the day to day activities. My most recent job was with the Board of Education as a substitute teacher for grades K-12 in all subject areas so I am willing to help with homework. I love building creative minds, so arts and crafts, projects, music and hands on activities are my specialties. I am also CPR/First Aid certified. I love kids and strongly believe they hold the future, so it is important to teach them valuable life lessons as well as have them enjoy everyday to its fullest extent.
