Hi there! I'm an up-beat, goofy Louisiana native looking for part-time/date-night sitting opportunities with families in the New York City area. I began babysitting at the tender age of 13 after I enrolled in a babysitting class offered by a local hospital. Throughout my teens, I mainly worked as a date-night sitter, occasionally accommodating weekend/holiday needs. While in college I continued to babysit as needed and began working as a swimming lessons instructor. Teaching swimming lessons was a great way to interact with children of all ages, build trust with these beautiful individuals, and hone in on qualities of patience, understanding, and determination. I taught lessons for three years with Crawfish Aquatics in Louisiana before teaching lessons independently the following year. I've worked for a number of different families over the years, all of which I've become very close with. The family has since moved out of the state, and I am now looking for full-time work in the media/journalism field. However, during my job search I am looking to supplement my income through babysitting and other odd jobs. I am available for: -date-night sitting (weekday and weekend) -filling in for full-time nannies -supplemental child-care needs Because my schedule is so unpredictable at the moment, I am not looking for a full-time, set schedule. Rather, I'd like to market myself as a fill-in or date-night sitter. But I will add that I've always had great rapport with the families I've worked with, and find myself coming back time and again dependent on their needs.
