I am an experienced nanny/ babysitter who absolutely adores children. I began as a mother's helper and worked with babies/ toddlers, so I have experience with children in diapers and infant routines. I have been a regular weekly nanny to 2 families on the UWS for almost 5 years. I take care of their 5 year old little boy and their 10 year old girl, and with the other family a 2 yr old boy (in diapers). With the 5 year old, we play at the park, I take him to after-school sports classes, play mind-building board games and do fun art projects. This is my favorite thing to do with the kids! I have been crafty and passionate about art my whole life I have a BA double major in acting and directing from Fordham University. I have exposed the children I care for to many different art forms Read more as I have a lot of experience in dance, theatre, singing, and design. I have also taught voice lessons to some of the children I babysit and would love to teach more lessons if your children are interested! I take the girl to her ballet classes and help her do her bun and make-up for performances. One of my other favorite things to do with both children is go to museums! I also babysit for a different family on the UWS for weekend evenings when the parents go out. They have a 6 and 8 year old. We watch movies, cook dinner and I put them to bed and make sure everything is cleaned up. I have a good knowledge of cooking and would be happy to cook for the kids and clean up after meals. With all the children I care for, I am well-versed on the bedtime routine and the importance of a regular bedtime. I read a book or two every night with the 5 year old I care for and make sure he always uses the bathroom before bed. With the girl, I am used to her trying to bend her bedtime and I have become very confident in disciplining her about the importance of getting enough sleep. I make sure to ask her how much homework she has right when we leave school so we can make a plan together about when she is going to get it all done so as not to break the bedtime. I have a driver’s license. I am looking for a part time nanny/ babysitting position, mainly in the mornings and weekends as I still sit for my other 2 families most after school/ weekday evenings. I love pets and would be happy to care for them. I am a fun and loving and am always told by the kids that they LOVE having a nanny who is young enough to play with them and relate to.
