Children are awesome. Period. I have been babysitting for as long as I can remember. I am 27 now so I estimate I have at least 15 years of experience with children of all ages, individually and in groups. For me, it was and has always been an amazing opportunity to be able to positively affect a child's life. Growing up, my brother and I had some wonderful (and some not-so-wonderful) babysitters, and I have always made a point of noting what worked and what didn't work for us as children. I can safely say though that these are beliefs I stand by in regards to care-giving (and also life): 1. Have an open heart, 2.
