I was a nanny of three boys for 2 years. I worked for a single dad. They're ages ranged from 6-11. My duties as a nanny included picking them up from school/school bus drop off points, taking them to their extra curricular activities, helping with homework, preparing meals, bath time and bedtime. I also participated in school bake sales, school birthday parties, and helped with any school,project(e.i, 100th day of school project). I also traveled during spring break on a cruise to the Bahamas, and to Provincetown in the summer. I worked mainly in the afternoon, after school so when the oldest left to military school I was no longer needed. The nanny who worked in the morning took over. One of the boys a worked with was special needs, so I have experience in caring for special needs children. I am also a mother of a one year old Read more girl, and I must say being a mom is a big part of my experience as a caregiver. Before motherhood, I cared for my siblings; I am the middle of four kids. I can easily say I have 22 years of experience, which is my life so far. Being a caregiver is something that comes very natural to me because I feel I am a very caring, patient and understanding person. Caring for my brother and sisters, and then three grade school aged kids, has taught me how to find a way to make things that are sometimes boring fun, and educational. It has also taught me how to balance multiple situations, and make a negative into a positive. As a caregiver I have a very extended family because the children I've cared for have became a part of me.
