Hi, I'm Alyssa! I am a 27-year old graduate student living in the greater NYC area. I love working with children and enjoy finding creative ways to incorporate fun and exciting activities into a child's daily routine. I am enrolled in a part-time graduate program at the School of Visual Arts for a MFA in children's book illustration and writing. In my spare time I like to cook, watercolor paint, spend time outdoors, explore NYC, compete in triathlons, and play piano. I specialize in cooking organic, gluten-free, vegetarian, and/or vegan food and would be more than happy to cook for your children. I currently live in Jersey City with my husband and dog. I have highly specialized experience working with children with disabilities, particularly in adaptive recreation and sports. I received my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and have a very strong math and science background. I am available for tutoring and always find exciting new ways to engage students in their studies. I am able to teach basic algebra through AP Calculus.
