 My name is Joyce Johnson. I have alway love to help and work with people, making a difference especially in children's lives and parents  it  makes me feel a sense of accomplishment.  Everyday that i spend with a child, make him/her secure, happy, nurtured, work together with parents to run a smooth home, making their children safe, reducing their worry,  makes my heart swell with happiness. I worked as a nurses assitant in Baley Seton hospital in Staten Island where i rotated from the general, geriatric, and maternity wards assisting patients with activities of daily living, recording and updating patients vitals signs and records, preparing patients for proceedures, making beds, offering support to patients and their families.  I am a mature, fun, energetic and reliable individual, i am also skills and goals oriented. I create positive and recreational activities to promote growth. I am a high school graduate, attended some college, attend yearly caregiver inservices, and a member of the international Read more nanny association. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have been a nanny and babysitter for 15 years. I have always love to be with, play and care for children and their families. My objective is to provide quality care for children, maintain communication and trust with children and parents, assist and support parents in all aspects of the caring, nurturing and encouraging kids to reach their full potential build and promote their self esteem. I always aim for a  long-term relation with kids and parents whether part-time, full-time or occasional caregiving. I am very good at communicating,taking direction and respecting parent's position. I assist children with daily activities, bathing, supervising homework, reading, story time, assist with dressing, drop off, pick up, plan playdates and outings,  playing make believe, educational games, cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and running any errands. I study food choices, allergies, medical conditions and personal habits. I always keep a vigilant eye on the children while we are outside to make sure they are safe and secure. I love caring, playing and learning with children in short any activity done in the company of children is fun and exciting to me. I thank you for your time.
