I have a very strong as well as genuine love for working with kids and hope to become a school counselor or school psychologist after completing my degree. I have tons of experience working with children of all different ages. I have babysat and tutored kids of all ages since I was 12, I worked as a camp counselor for 4 years with children entering kindergarten as well as children entering second grade, I have had positions within the recreation department of the Parks Department of NYC in which I promoted a healthy/active lifestyle, and I currently work in the on-campus daycare at my college. I am certified in pediatric first aid and am currently in the process of renewing my CPR certification. I am also ServSafe certified--which is the national certification for properly preparing and serving food--so I can properly and safely assist with any meal preparation. I also Read more have my license and my own car. I am capable and willing to assist with household chores including laundry, dusting, putting away toys, and any other housekeeping needed. My past opportunities and experience for various summers has helped me learn the best ways to incorporate art, sports, and education to help keep a child happy as well as healthy! I am willing to travel within 15 miles for a summer position, but would definitely travel further for a summer live-in position.
