Meet Katie

I graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelors of Music in 2011. I have a passion for teaching and taking care of children. I have been babysitting for 13+ years. I am a great babysitter for all age groups. Most recently, nannied in NYC for three famies- an 8 year old girl, a 1 year old and a 6 month year old baby. I have experience teaching/handling large groups of 5-7 year olds and 8-10 year olds. I was an assistant director at Theatre Lab in Washington DC where I taught theater games, how to speak in front of a crowd, stage directions, and vocal warm ups. So I have an endless supply of fun games to play with your children that exercise their creativity and imagination! I was a competitive swimmer since I was a child and I have taught basic swimming classes for 5-7 year Read more olds. I was for many years a certified lifeguard, and am very familiar with basic first aid and CPR. I also was a Day Student Leader at my high school where we were required to take basic first aid and CPR classes. So you child would be in very safe and knowledgeable hands! I'm very comfortable in the kitchen if need be, I can absolutely prepare your children's meals. I also don't mind helping with chores/laundry as well. I'm a grad student in the Boston area so my schedule is very open and flexible.
