I was an event manager for 20 years juggling schedules/itineraries for high profile, demanding clients. I needed to know their every move, food preferences, likes/dislikes...sound familiar? I'm just transferring those skills from the business world into something more fun! And, children are much more interesting to work with—their worlds are far more engaging and entertaining, and I get to wear jeans every day if I want to. All joking aside, it's given me a chance to reconnect to my inner child as well, something I was always good at, and now the "events" I plan are themed around Elmo, or Cars or Thomas and just as much fun.
