Meet Amanda

I am a compassionate and friendly individual who has always enjoyed spending time with children. I love children because they remind us of what is important. I have fun playing with them whether it be inside or outside, going to the park or zoo when the weather is nice, or getting down on their level and playing with toys and doing arts and crafts. I have six years of babysitting/nanny experience. Most recently, I was a full-time nanny for a family with a two year-old boy. I took him to his art and music classes and prepared his meals and put him down for his naps. Throughout high school and college, I babysat for a few families with children ages 6 months to 13 years old. As a full-time summer nanny for a family with three kids, ages 5, 8, and 13, I prepared their meals, took them to their Read more play dates and summer activities, as well as to the pool. I also babysat part-time for a family with two children ages 6 months and 2 years old, during weeknights and summer weekdays. I took CPR training in January 2015. I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May 2014 with a BFA, emphasis in Fashion Design. I moved to New York in April to intern for a womenswear clothing company in SoHo, and will eventually be securing a full-time week position in the industry. I am looking for part-time babysitting in the evenings or a long-term weekend nanny position.
