I am 23-year-old grad student living in Manhattan and I adore children! I am currently working towards obtaining my Masters in social work from Hunter College. I love to read, run and do yoga, travel, listen to live jazz and spend time with friends and family. I've had about 10 years experience in childcare, starting as a babysitter and eventually going on to FT nannying. I will be finishing up coursework in the evenings this summer and looking to provide childcare for a family during the daytime. My availability is M-F 7AM-5PM, longer hours and weekends available with advanced notice! I have babysat for kids of all ages, backgrounds and needs with up to 5 kids at one time. My responsibilities included transportation to activities, supervision at pool and play dates, planning fun and engaging activities such as trips to museums and arts and crafts, and some light meal prep and housework. I am currently a sitter for a 4 y/o girl every morning my responsibilities involve helping her finish breakfast and playtime in the morning before leaving for school. Her mother is a school teacher and will be at home with her in the summer, so I am looking for a new job! I love to work with children because I am consistently inspired by the honesty and creativity of the children I care for. It is important to me to communicate effectively and efficiently with parents and foster an environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring the world around them.
