Sarah was the nanny to our three children (5,4,1) for almost six years. We hired her before our first was born and she has been with us since Day One. Sarah’s superpowers are childhood development and creative activities for your kids. When we hired a nanny, we were focused on matching with someone that consistently had long-term relationships with kids / families, could be a large help in child development and would be consistently engaged with our children. Sarah has more than delivered in all three elements and we strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a caregiver. We have sadly moved out of the city and would love to help her find her next long-term family. Sarah has early childhood education training that allows her to engage proactively in age appropriate activities and games for your children. She focused on language development with our kids when they were young through reading, constant narration, music, flashcards etc. Our one-year-old has 30+ words already. With our older children she provided active participation in imaginative play, blocks, reading development and handwriting. For example, she created a whole series of exercises and ordered new writing workbooks to help our left handed oldest child practice his handwriting (the world is set up for righties). During the peak of COVID this spring with Zoom school chaos, she took our children on guided nature walks to learn about the forest, animals and nature providing a different source of engaged learning. Sarah is active. If you want your kids to be exposed to a range of experiences, Sarah is your nanny. Our three boys have seen more of New York City under Sarah’s watch than their parents. They frequently went to the Natural History Museum, The Guggenheim, the beach, Governor’s Island, Bronx Zoo…the list would go on and on. She also proactively set up play dates, researched and recommended classes and provided insight into things to do in the city for the boys. During COVID, her activity levels have remained high with creative changes – hikes, beach visits, indoor multi-day projects etc. While she is active, Sarah is exceptionally safe / protective with our children and we never had any concerns over them being well taken care of. In short, she will show them the world all over the city will ensuring they are safe at all times. It can be hard to leave your kids as a working parent. Sarah is the best possible person to help them grow into exceptional children and adults. She will engage their minds, love them like her own children and keep them active and engaged in the world around them. Our children have healthy eating habits, wonderful manners and great sleeping habits because of Sarah. I give her credit for my children yelling “salad please” before dinner time. It can be hard as a parent to go to the playground and see children ignored while their nannies spend time on their phones. Sarah is the nanny at the playground that kids flock to because she is exceptional at engaging children on their level. This happens because there is no nanny better at engaging and bonding with children. Finally, Sarah is based in the East Village. Making her a short walk or bike ride most places in Manhattan or a short Uber, cab ride or pick-up from Brooklyn.

Sarah has been the nanny to my four-year-old twins since they were six months old, and has been an outstanding addition to our home, bringing much needed experience and dedication to early childhood development and care. She frequently devoted herself to scouring the city’s resources to find the best, and most affordable, outings, readings, and events for the kids from day one. Within the first few weeks, Sarah had already found multiple play date partners and new friends for the kids, and seamlessly integrated our kids into the greater East Village community. Before we knew it, our kids knew many of the neighborhood dogs, librarians, and gardens/parks better than we did. Her most important attribute is an undivided commitment to the well-being and future development of the children in her care. She continually exhibits genuine interest in my childrens’ mental, emotional, and physical development. Having been with our family during the formative years from infancy to pre-K, she has helped craft and guide language learning, math, social interactions, walking, swimming, and physical therapy for my son. She has boundless energy that will outmatch the children she’s taking care of, is very reliable, trustworthy, motivated, experienced, and adaptable to meet the requirements of the family and children. I highly recommend her for a nanny position, or for part-time sitting.

There should be a new category of nanny/sitter invented for Sarah. Not only are the superlative reviews here accurate, I will add to them that Sarah is, in addition, an amazing counselor for Moms on every topic from how to administer eye drops to a toddler with pinkeye, to what activities are best suited to your child's personality and needs. Sarah anticipates Mom's needs - and gives her support in every way that occurs to her from helping to lug in groceries to surfing the web for nearby free and engaging activities. Sarah is a gem of a person and a miracle of a sitter. These are the words of a first time Mom - eternally grateful for someone like Sarah.

Sarah is fabulous! She babysits for us on a regular basis and is active and engaged with my 2 toddlers (3.5 and 2) at all times. She loves to play with my children on their terms and relates to them easily, but she can be firm when necessary and has the experience to deal with their sometimes difficult temperaments. She is knowledgeable about child development issues, as she is studying in this field. Her experience level and commitment is evident in everything that she does. I recommend her highly.

Sarah is an AMAZING caregiver. She can handle multiple children of different ages with ease. Each time she comes to care for my kids, she brings a "bag of tricks" (i.e. a special art project, game or books). She is full of energy and enthusiasm, not to mention intelligent, well-read and pleasure to be around. She is a real pro. She knows the city and really figures out ways for kids to experience all that is here for them. In summary, she is the kind of person that could be successful in many professions, but she chooses to work with kids because she loves them, and it shows.

Sarah is very special person. She is bright, responsible, trustworthy, and extremely caring. Taking care of children comes second nature to her. Sarah has loads of experience under her belt; hence, she can confidently handle any situation and is quick to improvise. She is also fun, cheerful, thoughtful and kind all while remaining in control. The kids both love and respect her. She has boundless energy and enthusiasm. She takes initiative to find activities to do with the kids, both at home and in the city. As her attention consistently remains on the children, the kids are always very well supervised, safe and nurtured. Sarah communicates clearly, is open-minded, flexible and easygoing. Her dedication and commitment to do her job is unsurpassed, and she goes above and beyond what is required. Finding excellent childcare is a daunting task, and we were extremely fortunate to find Sarah.
