I am a Health Professional with certification as a Newborn Specialist and am a Certified Nurses Assistant, with an updated background clearance and CPR certified. I am skilled in the nursing process in which; I advise mothers of various lactation and breastfeeding methods best suited for the newborn, cleanliness practices for circumcisions and umbilical stumps, as well as reinforcing sleeping habits for the baby. I will help parents feel more comfortable in their new roles of raising their baby by supporting with laundry, teaching bathing procedures, bottle preparation and sterilization, and offering emotional support. My primary objective is to cultivate a gentle, relaxed and nurturing environment for new parents and their new-born baby. Receiving this certification is a strength, but lacking formal experience proves to be a weakness. Acquiring the aforementioned experience will only mitigate that weakness as well as strengthen my aptitude for formal interaction with families during this important time in their lives.
