Hello All! My name is Sienna Sears. I am an actor, singer, musician, teacher, and loving babysitter! I graduated with my BFA in musical theatre from Seton Hill University. I have always supplemented my artistic income by working with children because i love them! I have worked with kids through babysitting, nannying, teaching, supervising, counseling, and more! Most recently, while i was performing in Charleston, I started working at a private preschool. I was the lead teacher in both the toddler classroom and the pre-k academy classroom. Working there, enhanced my abilities as a caretaker. I am now very comfortable with infants and have developed an array of games, activities, and songs that help entertain and educate children of all ages. I am comfortable watching one child and up to 6, having experience running a classroom makes me very confident in my ability to look after larger groups of children. Read more I am a very punctual, hardworking person with a huge heart. Working with children is very important to me; I am always respectful and attentive to parents needs and watch every child with the utmost care. * If you are interested in working with me I will immediately give you a list of my references. I did not list their contact information to respect their privacy.*

Sienna has been babysitting for us for many months. She is the sitter we call first whenever we need a date night. She's reliable, prompt, smart, sweet, creative and our very astute two boys love her! We trust her, like her and feel completely at ease when she is taking care of the boys. We highly recommend Sienna.

Sienna worked for me, until recently, for 2 months as a part-time (17 hour/week) sitter for my 3 year old son. Overall, I did not have a positive experience. I didn't feel confident that Sienna is a responsible person & I also felt that she wasn't always "present" mind-wise even if she was physically present. She was late to work 90% of the time and would always blame the subways. She left my toaster oven on at 500 degrees for more than 5 hours. She walked into & damaged an expensive piece of Chinese art in my home. She dropped & broke a glass in the kitchen. I found her pushing my son's stroller with an expensive blanket dragging on the dirty ground. Upon entering my home, she would put her dirty shoes on an expensive sitting bench. There were many times when she wouldn't properly close our front door. Regarding her interaction with my son, I was also disappointed with this aspect of her work. When I read in her profile that she is an "actor, singer, musician, teacher”, it all sounded so good. But the reality is that Sienna is a quiet, not-very-communicative person. I expected her to be much more interactive with my son but this was not the case. I also didn’t feel confident that Sienna, by the end of her work here, had good judgment with regards to his safety. I saw her pushing my son, jacketless, in rainy, 50 degree weather. I recently surprised her & my son at the playground after hearing that he had hit his head on the slide. I saw that he was also overheated & tired which didn't seem apparent to her. I told Sienna that he had enough son and that it was time for his nap. I left the playground shortly thereafter but as I turned my head around I saw her bringing my son back into the sun while letting him climb an area of the playground which I think any parent or caregiver would find dangerous for a younger child. In fact, my son was climbing to a level such that if he fell, she would not have been able to catch or protect him from hitting the ground.
