I am a student at Marymount Manhattan College, majoring in dance and minoring in creative writing. Since my mother and both of my grandmothers are current or retired elementary school teachers, I am very familiar with children’s literature and activities, and I grew up hearing the inside scoop of first grade education. I am always eager for a read-aloud and any other interactions with children. I also have experience as a 24-hour Resident Advisor/Camp Counsellor for students ages 11-15 at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Camp Ballibay summer arts programs. I received CPR certification for this purpose as well as program-specific training so I could best serve the children. I am glad to have been a person on whom these young artists could depend, and I enjoyed supporting the children through an exciting time of growth. I love working with children. Teaching them to dance has given me the privilege of seeing how quickly they can grow and learn and take in the world around them. Their boundless enthusiasm makes me all the more excited to spend time with them.
