I'm a 24-year-old young woman, currently employed in publishing full-time, hoping to find full-time work as a babysitter or nanny. I have experience babysitting children from six months old to 12 years old, both boys and girls, and I'm comfortable watching two-three children at once, depending on their ages. I'm passionate about education, reading, and all creative and learning activities, so I'm always happy to help out with homework and think up fun, creative things to do. Most of all, when I'm babysitting, I want to create a fun, safe space where everyone feels supported and has a good time! I'm positive, caring, and patient, and I believe those qualities are what have made babysitting such a pleasure for me as well as for the families I've worked for in the past. My last full-time babysitting job was during the summer of 2013. In addition to taking care of all of his basic needs, I often made his food, did laundry, kept the house neat, and spent time reading, singing and listening to music, and going on walks with him. I'm still close with the family and his mother will be happy to serve as a reference for me. I've been working in publishing since then, but have decided that I'd like to make a change. I live in Manhattan and am hoping to find a family in the city that's a good match, who needs a babysitter/nanny about 40 hours per week. I can be flexible as to when those hours fall, and I can work on weekdays as well as some weekends. I also understand that things come up, and I'm willing to work extra hours when that's needed.
