My skills with caring for children were learned by personally ensuring the well-being of many young dancers at a dance camp for several summers, a position that required quick-thinking, creativity, and a strong, but very kind approach.  I recently received a degree in opera (vocal performance) from Catholic University in Washington D.C. A philosophy of mine is that learning should never stop and cultural experiences are invaluable. Since graduation, I have taught myself basic conversational Italian and continually practice my French and German whenever I can. I currently own and operate a cooking website dedicated to instructing beginning home cooks the need-to-know basics. A kind demeanor has always served well in dealing with even the most difficult situations. I also volunteer at my church on Sundays and gladly assist parents when a child starts to get restless or "cranky" during the service. As my boss at the time said after she came into a perfectly organized room with campers quietly talking and playing "wow! You really got this 'kid-thing' under control!"
