Hello, I am looking to pick up a little extra cash and would love to have fun while doing so! When I was in middle school, I was the neighborhood babysitter. There was not a babysitters club, as I was the only older person in the neighborhood. I showed up with the "kit kit" and was always the first babysitter requested by the children. I'm very prompt. I'm resourceful and responsible. I'm interactive and creative. (It's not uncommon to build forts with couch cushions and blankets or use a bed as a boat.) I have made cases of Kraft mac and cheese and dropped (but stopped by my knee) one cooked pizza in the 20 plus years of babysitting. I've sent many ants on logs or talking bananas into bellies. I am also able to check for monsters in closets or under beds. I've stayed calm in incidents where children Read more have scraped knees, bumped heads or fallen off bikes and am aware of potential climbing hazards. I am able to help the child(ren) take shotgun showers or long, luxurious bubble baths. I can recite most bedtime books without book (though sometimes, a line might be out of order). And am a pro at rocking, humming, rubbing backs and swaddling. I can even recite a few prayers if requested. I've an Associates in Child Care and Development and have been certified in CPR and first aid.
