I have been babysitting part-time since 2008 and have always had a passion for working with children on top of being organized, responsible, and fun! My babysitting jobs, which range from children from ages 6 months to 12 years, required me to complete childcare tasks like baths, diaper changes, and bedtime stories. Also I've assisted with household tasks like dinner preparation, laundry, and dishes. I enjoy playing creatively with children and help them learn through fun activities. I am a college student studying K-12 education in Spanish. In the Summers of both 2013 and 2014, I worked as a Teacher Assistant at Take 5 Childcare LLC., located in Manchester Center VT. Take 5 caters to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, however I spent most of my time with the infants (4 weeks-20 months) and the 2 year olds. I worked with children in educational development, including counting, reading, Read more comprehension, and behavioral modification and development. I was also required to keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered. We also instructed children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits. I have always felt drawn toward working with children, and I believe my experience has given me the skill of finding the perfect balance between fun and structure in childcare. I have the most amazing job because I get to make kids feel important and brilliant while helping them learn.
