I'm a (youngish) Mom, Aunty (to blood relatives as well as all of my friends kids) and long time care-giver (oldest of 4 kids and 21 grandkids and I started babysitting them at 11yo so I've been taking great care of kids for quite a long time.) My daughter is 14yo (I had her in my early 20s), and doing very well in a highly rated Manhattan High School, but as you can imagine at that age, she doesn't want to be treated like a kid anymore and I miss having a kid around. I'm not looking to replace her (no one ever could!) but maybe supplementing some time with little people could fill that gap. ;) I've been working in Corporate America for the past 17 years (selling data/market research) but I'm feeling burnt out and looking to take a break. I feel like maybe I missed my calling Read more as a caregiver by chasing a 6 figure salary and its time to take a step back and share some of my mommy skills with a wonderful family who will appreciate those skills more than corporate america appreciates anyone. I'm well spoken, organized, love reading and playing with kids and just enjoying the simple things in life like a walk in the park, etc. I'm not a chef (think 30min meals - thats what I worked with for years, being a single, full time working mom) but I'm good at the basics and I'm all about eating and living healthy.
