Hello parents! I'm seeking a position working with your child(ren) part-time, three days a week adding up to 30 hours per week). I have an educational background in Early Childhood Developement. I love to be around children and have worked with them in and out of a classroom environment. I was a nanny to various children throughout the years. Some of them were as young as 6 weeks old when I began. Working with those families, I helped the children with everything from tummy time as an infant- to learning new vocabulary words and putting those words in sentances to improve speech skills. I have also worked an as assistant teacher in a Manhattan preschool working with the 2 year old group. I helped the head teacher with the daily curriculum, lead small group art projects and helped with potty training. It was a wonderful experience in learning how to Read more handle multiple children at once and with various personalities. I'd love to be a part of a family who has strong family values and structure but can also be laid back and know how to have fun together. I'm very punctual and can say I am very reliable. If you need me to be somewhere at a specific time-- I'll be there. I'm willing to do light housekeeping and the childs laundry. If your child is of age, I'd love to do small art projects with them and run different learning activities. I believe children learn best through hands on experience and love finding activities around the neighborhood that the child(ren) could benefit from.
