I am available and seeking PT/FT/date nights.I am willing to Skype or Face Time with potential employers. I am a mature 27-year-old woman with a Bachelor's degree. I am CPR & First Aid certified and have special needs experience with children AND adults. My philosophy is to befriend the child while firmly keeping my foot down about the rules, but I am willing to conform to your style of parenting. I am big on sitter-parent communication; being on the same page is one of the most important factors in consistent good behavior and growth. Babysitters who dictated to me made me shy away from them, but I've seen the difference when you become someone who can talk to children as a friend. It allows the child to feel comfortable and safe to be open to me while having fewer outbursts and complications and demanding respect. I am able to care Read more for children with special needs as well as any other child. My job with varied-functioning developmentally disabled adults in a classroom setting taught me further patience and teaching techniques such as positive reinforcement (do something good, get rewarded. Do something bad, have something taken away.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POLICIES - RATES: I negotiate my rates based on job expectations and the rate stays the same whether the child is asleep or awake. This work is my main source of income, so I expect to be paid for the full time I'm booked. I charge $5 more for infants and nanny share gigs. - MINIMUM: I have a 4-hour minimum for all bookings. This can be flexible for in person/working interviews; feel free to ask! - CANCELLATIONS: For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, I expect 50% of the original booking amount, which can be paid via PayPal. - EARLY RETURNS: Because I plan my time and budget around the hours booked, I ask to be paid for the entire booking, even if you come home early. - LATE RETURNS: I'm usually flexible on the end time of a booking, but please text/call me if you'll be late. - SICKNESS: - Please disclose if anyone in your household is sick and with what. I charge $5 more/hr. for sick children since I am taking a risk of catching what your child has, which would make me unable to work.
