Heart Broken Nanny Seeking New Family!!   Hi!  My name is Debbie.  I am originally from the Rochester area but moved to Buffalo for the past 4 years for my husbands former job.  When he changed jobs I couldn't wait to come back home where my family, including 9 nieces and nephews, were eagerly awaiting my arrival!  The down side is I had to leave my position as a nanny for two little boys that I love with all my heart.  I am a part of their family now so I will still get to see them, just not as often.  Now I am making my plea for a new family to love!  As a Mom of 2 older children who do not require my constant presence (and frankly, don't want it :) ), I know how scary and nerve wracking it is to find a total stranger to care for your Read more precious babies, no matter their age!  Therefore, I come to you as an open book.  I have no problem with any background checks, training that you want me to attend, lists of exactly how you want things done, and even a nanny cam left on while I am with your child(ren).  Whatever gives you peace of mind is fine with me.   My philosophy when it comes to caring for your children is simple.  To be as close to Mom and Dad as humanly possible while I am with them.  I am very flexible, as I have worked with all types of families and kids from very strict and scheduled to very lenient and crazy wild!  They are YOUR children and I will do my best to follow your guidelines.  One thing I probably can't change about myself is my sense of humor, and the fact that I will use it on children to help get them out of a "funky" mood or just to make things fun.  I am also a safety nut.  I don't have any small children at home but I still subscribe to all the Parenting magazines to keep up on new developments, safety, and clever ideas to help children learn.  I also absolutely LOVE to read, and reading to kids is a perfect opportunity to use different voices for each character and make the story more fun.  I don't even mind when the child keeps stopping me to ask questions or talk about the pictures.  It is all about the experience and becoming a child who loves to read and be read to.   Since I was very young I have loved taking care of children.  At age 11 I was hit with the "bug" when my first niece was born.  I took her everywhere and loved spending time with her.  I even brought her to school for "show and tell" during my health class unit on child care.  That made me pretty popular at 12 years old!  I babysat all through high school for many families and at age 18 became a live in nanny for a family of 3 girls that I still keep in contact with to this day.  I have worked many jobs and did the corporate thing for years but what I keep coming back to is children.  No job in the world is as rewarding as putting a smile on a childs face, and teaching them to become a member of society that their parents can be proud of.  I have cared for kids of all ages and especially enjoy the baby and toddler/preschool age.  They are so full of wonder and seeing things through their eyes is pure joy.  I am looking for a long-term position with a family that I can become a part of.  Close to full time would be wonderful, but I am open to other things, possibly working another job as well.   I have worked for several years as a photographer at JCP studios and that is something I have considered doing again as well.  Bonus, your nanny takes your family pictures!   I am very happy to do light housework, dishes, laundry, meal prep etc.  Or I am happy not to, if you are particular about how you want things done, or you just prefer me to spend all time focused on the kids.  I am looking forward to hearing from a new family soon!  I will provide references upon request as I am not comfortable providing personal info from my previous families until necessary.
