My name is Sam and I'm a private tutor/homework coach who has recently relocated to Los Angeles from New York City! I have worked with a diverse amount of students including gifted and talented, english language learners, and students with executive functioning disorders including ADD, ADHD, anxiety and autism. In addition to teaching and tutoring, my work with children also includes babysitting. I have 3 years of experience babysitting for two girls ages 6 and 11, until they were 9 and 14. I offer homework coaching in order to provide students with the skills they need to prioritize their school work, improve their organizational skills, manage time more effectively, and create a study environment that suits their needs. I am also able to provide academic tutoring in specific subject areas including middle school, high school, and A.P. Math and Science. My teaching and tutoring experience includes 2 years as a Read more public middle school science teacher, 2 years as a private tutor and homework coach, and 1 year of being a paraprofessional in a special education school. I was rated an effective teacher within my school district, and my clients have each received over a 90 on their state science exams. I hold a bachelors degree in Meteorology, minors in Math and Journalism, and have a masters in Earth Science Education. I have references, transcripts, and a resume available upon request!
