I am a current undergraduate student at Mount Holyoke College pursuing my bachelor of arts degree. In addition to being a native English speaker, I also speak Spanish at a conversational level & Russian at an Elementary level. I absolutely adore children and pets and have lots of prior experience in childcare. I was a voluntary church classroom assistant for 1.5 to 5 year olds at Living Word Christian Church in White Plains, NY - for seven years. This also served as part of my high school community service requirements (Blind Brook High School). I was also a regular weekend babysitter (20 hours per weekend) for 2 girls- ages 5 & 7 for close to 2 years. While there my responsibilities included meal prep, overseeing bath time, walking excursions (local parks, neighborhood), getting the girls ready for bedtime etc... Ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all the children in my care has always been a priority for me and something I pride myself on. I like to bring out the creativity in everyone, so you can expect lots of songs, hand games, arts & craft projects, puppet shows, imaginative play, obstacle courses, water games and so on.
