Because I've always been interested in taking care of kids, I began babysitting as soon as I could, around 14 years old. I did some light babysitting for my neighbors until I could take on more kids and more hours at a time. At one point during highschool, I was caring for more than five different families throughout the week and on the weekends. During the summer of 2015, I worked full-time for a family new to my town. I watched their 12-year-old son after camp, took him to the pool, out to eat, and planned all sorts of activities for him. I loved the experience of getting to know him so well and learning more about kids as the summer went on. My intent in working with kids is to create a positive relationship that could aid them in whatever way they need, and to be an additional role Read more model in their lives.
