Children have always been a huge part of my life and I have always wanted to impact children's lives positively the way my babysitters and nanny did when I was younger. I love hanging out with children; I find them to be such a joy to be around. I am a twenty year old biology student at Stony Brook University. I have lived in Shoreham, NY for the past ten years. I have always had a passion for taking care of kids and when my baby brother was born I was ecstatic to be able to watch him grow up. My brother is now eight years old and I started seriously helping my parents out with him when I was fifteen years old. I have put him on and gotten him off of the bus, done his homework with him, showered, fed, put him to bed and cleaned the house. Read more I also have kept up with his hectic extracurricular activities and sports schedules ensuring he was never late for anything especially since I am never late. I also babysit for three young children which includes a set of twins that are seven and a daughter that is nine. I babysit for another family with two small boys ages seven and eight for the past year. I worked at a day camp for children up until age twelve for three years; two of which I volunteered and the other I was paid for. I have up to date training for both CPR and first aid. I have two large Bernese Mountain Dogs so animals do not bother me in the least however I am highly allergic to cats. I am honored to take care of the children I get to meet and to impact their lives in a positive way.
